Welcome to the Red Lion in Aldworth Road, Upper Basildon

A traditional English pub run by Jeff Cronyn. We make it our business to make you feel at home - to feed you well and introduce you to traditional ales and an extensive range of wines.

We offer home-cooked, wholesome pub food, combined with 'Bistro specials' on most days. All of our food is prepared and cooked freshly and as a result there may be a little wait for your food especially at busier times.

On Sundays our generous roast dinners will either set you up for a walk in the countryside or a sleep by the fire!

The Red lion is always happy to cater for any special occasion, as well as our restaurant and bar we have a large garden, which is ideal for barbeques. For larger parties we have a special party menu, we can also tailor a menu to suit your needs and tastes.
